Description

Our 2014 Red Blend is from Bulgaria's Thracian Valley. The grapes were harvested and sorted by hand, fermented in concrete, and aged for twelve months in French oak barrels. Vanilla and subtle cigar box aromas combine with a palate of dark fruit and leather in this memorable blend of Syrah, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.

Viticulture Notes

Clay and limestone soils--also found in the Right Bank of Bordeaux and Burgundy--provide an excellent foundation for this wine. Further, plenty of sunshine and a constant wind complement the soil to make the south-facing, sloping vineyard nearly ideal for grape growing.
